Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.

Car park: The car park is right next to the house and is not covered. Access to the house is guaranteed.

Public transport: La Chaux-de-Fonds is well served by public transport. From the railway station, take bus 310 in the direction of Sombaille to the Signal stop. This is 100 metres from the Domaine des Tourelles.

Number of persons 6: The flat is on the 2nd floor. The house can accommodate six guests (plus baby). There are three double bedrooms. The kitchen with its beautiful stained glass windows offers modern comfort. The adjoining living/dining room has a wonderful view over La Chaux-de-Fonds, as the Domaine des Tourrelles is slightly elevated. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and toilet. The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers.

Garden:
There is a terrace and a seating area at your disposal.

WLAN: A television is also available.

Open: The house can be rented all year round and for short holidays (min. 3 nights).

Pets: Pets are not allowed.

Altitude: 1000 metres above sea level.

IMPORTANT ADDITION
The ‘Domaine des Tourelles’ is a listed building which has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up to date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Vacation in architectural monument disclaim any liability.

Sehr schön renoviert, wunderbare Holzböden, neue Möbel und historische Möbel gemischt, sehr bequeme Betten. Durch die farbigen Glasscheiben der Küche war der Vollmond einmal blau, dann gelb, dann rot. Herrlich!
    Das elegante, sich durchziehende Grau verstanden wir nach einer Architekturführung zu Ehren von Le Corbusier! Sehr gekonnt! Negativ: -”

    “Eine tolle und gemütliche Wohnung in einer spannenden Stadt.
    Aufgrund der zwei Badezimmer mit WC und Bad/Dusche ist die optimale Belegung wohl eine mit zwei Parteien. Positiv: Das Haus befindet sich in ruhiger Lage hoch über der Stadt; das Zentrum ist trotzdem schnell zu Fuss erreichbar.
    Für das Auto steht gratis ein Einstellhallenplatz in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Verfügung. Negativ: Beim Bad mit der Badewanne wäre eine Duschvorhang von Vorteil.
    Ausserdem wäre es wünschenswert, die Möglichkeit für einen zweiten Gratisparkplatz zu prüfen oder dann zumindest den Hinweis auf die Wochenkarte in der "weissen Zone" zu geben.”

    “Negativ: dans les chambres à coucher (et dans l’appartement en général) il n’y a pas d’armoires où l’on puisse suspendre les habits, ce qui n’est pas très pratique lorsque l’on y passe une semaine.”
