Luxurious country villa on a nature reserve

The luxurious, detached country villa DUXCAAR is the last house in a very quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of Saint Pabu. Directly behind the house, you can reach a fjord-like arm of the Atlantic (Aber Benoit) and the GR34 coastal hiking trail that runs alongside it in three minutes on foot. The fine, white sandy beaches of Saint Pabu with their turquoise-blue water can be reached within a few minutes on foot, by bike or by car.5 km west of Lannilis, the villa is located in the climatically unique Breton Finistère and the harbour town of Brest can be reached quickly by car and is approx. 30 km away. The harbour town of Brest not only offers shopping opportunities and restaurants, but also the 'Oceanopolis' (the aquarium adventure park) located next to the marina, which you should definitely visit. In addition to Brest, the small ferry town of Roscoff with its old British granite houses also promises the opportunity for a successful excursion. The large ferries (across the English Channel) to nearby England or even as far as Ireland start and land here. If you don't want to book a crossing to England straight away, visit the 'Ile de Batz', where the boats sail constantly. The location in Finistère guarantees fresh fish and wonderful seafood. Just a few kilometres from Saint Pabu, the famous oysters of the 'Aber Wrac`h' and 'Aber Benoit' are reared; some claim the best oysters in Brittany (Prat ar Coum) No matter what means of transport you use to get there, neither the international airport, the TGV train station nor the motorway are more than 30 km away. The region is easily accessible by car, train, TGV or plane.

The villa, which is a good ten years old, is very comfortably furnished and offers a generous 220 square metres of space. The architect-designed villa has a large open-plan living/dining area with a semi-open-plan kitchen and several access points to various terrace sections. In the centre of the living area is the large fireplace, which, in addition to the electric heaters typical of France, provides additional cosiness and warmth. On the ground floor there is also a beautiful bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a small office. The villa is therefore also perfect for a barrier-free holiday on one floor. On the upper floor there are a further three bedrooms, another living and reading room as well as an office with desk, printer and screen, a bathroom and the largest bedroom in the house has its own shower and washbasin directly in the room. The entire property is surrounded by high hedges and a solid wall with an electric roller shutter, which guarantees maximum privacy, but also allows children or even a dog to roam freely. You can enjoy sunshine from the terraces in several directions (from east to south to west) almost all day long and from the terraces or the balcony you can enjoy a kilometre-long view over the fjord landscape, a nature reserve and all the way to Lannilis.

The entire plot of approx. 1,000 square metres is surrounded by high hedges and a solid wall with an electric roller shutter, which guarantees maximum privacy and seclusion, but also allows children or even a dog to move around freely. You can enjoy sunshine from the terraces in several directions (from east to south to west) almost all day long and from the terraces or the balcony you can enjoy a view stretching for kilometres over the fjord landscape, a nature reserve and all the way to Lannilis. Spacious lawns are also ideal for a game of badminton. On a nice day, the south-facing terraces also invite you to enjoy a barbecue with our Weber grill.

The house can always be occupied from 4.30 pm on the day of arrival - the departure time is until 10 am in the high season, so that our cleaning team has enough time to make the house very clean again. You will receive a detailed arrival email and a contact telephone number that you can call on the day of arrival - of course we will speak German or English with you on the phone. Villa DUXCAAR is located on the Cote des Abers in Saint Pabu. The white houses of the village lie directly along the western shore of the Aber Benoit in a hilly landscape. Several blossom-white beaches (Plage d Erleac'h) invite you to sunbathe or go for a walk on the beach. The central location in north-west Brittany makes many excursions possible, to the Crozon peninsula or to the pink granite coast or the Parc Amorique with its high moors, fairy forests and deserted plateaus or to the markets of picturesque villages. Stays in autumn and winter are also very impressive, when the natural forces of the Atlantic create five-metre-high waves over which kite surfers fly with their colourful sails and, after a long walk in the spray-soaked salt air, you can warm up again in front of the crackling fire in the fireplace with a good glass of red wine. In February, you can also enjoy the first glimpses of spring with blooming camellias, daffodils, broom bushes etc. in the countless small bays of the "Pays des Abers" and the mild air of the Gulf Stream. With rising water and wind, the 'Plage de Erleac'h' is popular with kite surfers and wind surfers. Those who don't surf themselves should keep an eye on this impressive sport. You can go on long walks directly on the beach or in the dune landscape and can reach neighbouring beaches directly from our "house beach". Enjoy a few fresh local oysters, a seaweed salad and a cider at one of the many picnic spots along the beach, for example, and watch the sun dip yellow-red in the gentle waves of the Atlantic at around 10.30 pm in summer.
