Camping Maltschacher Seewirt is a family-run, family-friendly site on the banks of the Maltschacher See and 10 minutes’ drive from the town of Feldkirchen in Kärnten.
This peaceful site is well located for all sorts of days out, including mountain hikes, lake cruises, zoo days and urban wanderings in Klagenfurt, 20 minutes away. Stick around on site and there’s still plenty of activity: games of tennis and pétanque are on hand, and the site staff can also help hook you up with days of canoeing, windsurfing or horse riding nearby. Sunbathing by the lake is also a popular pick, as is diving into the clear waters when you get a little toasty around the edges.
If there’s one thing that can improve upon those gorgeous lake views it’s having something tasty to eat while you gaze out over the waters – at Maltschacher Seewirt’s award-winning restaurant you can make that happen both morning and evening.
