    “Der Ort ist sehr klein, aber da die Insel nicht so groß ist, sind die Entfernungen zum Einkaufen oder zum Strand nicht sehr weit. Insel Poel ist einfach herrlich, vor allem mit dem Fahrrad lässt sich die Insel gut erkunden. Ein weiteres Muss ist ein Besuch von Wismar, eine tolle Stadt mit alter hanseatischer Architektur.”

    “Weitendorf ist relativ klein und liegt auch nicht in direkter Nähe zu öffentlichen Stränden, was dem Charme des Örtchens keinen Abbruch tut. Es ist nicht ganz so touristisch überlaufen wie etwa Kirchdorf oder Timmendorf Strand und man hat ziemlich seine Ruhe. Wer gut zu Fuß ist, kommt dennoch gut in die anderen Ortschaften, mit dem Rad geht es ebenso gut, die Insel ist hinsichtlich Fuß- und Radwege sehr gut ausgestattet, ansonsten setzt man sich eben schnell ins Auto und ist auch direkt überall.”
