Neighbours far away! A touch of Africa envelops this modern villa. Photos do not initially reveal how close it is to the sea or to the harbour town of Porto Cristo, which once had to withstand attacks by pirates. The terra rossa, the typical red earth of many regions around the Mediterranean, and the distant ridge make the new two-storey building look as if it has always been part of this barren landscape characterised by only a few trees. However, you do have a small garden oasis, a patch of green that lovingly surrounds the pool. In high season, it's not quite the right place for shady plants, although the long terrace with pergola (nomen est omen) provides at least a partial protective roof over your head; there's plenty of space here, even the sun loungers and barbecue find shelter here. However, if you're not hot enough to go there, you can also climb onto the roof of the villa, as the two bedrooms on the first floor offer access to this private spot in the sun.

But the interior is cool, almost a little purist, with clean lines. The generously designed, tasteful living and dining area has a loft character and is also very suitable for smaller team meetings and creative breaks. Several double doors open onto the garden, providing a view of the palm oasis and letting in plenty of light. The modern, fully equipped kitchen is also in dialogue with the terrace, so that food and drinks always arrive at the table via the shortest route. Ideal: with the nearest beach so close, you can easily go home for a snack or a nap (siesta) and settle down either in the bedroom downstairs (the bathroom is directly opposite) or upstairs in one of the two upper double beds with their own bathroom and private balcony (the second option offers maximum privacy). Some look to the right, others to the left, but there's no need to argue about who has the better view. And you can easily undress here to get a soft tan for your holiday and show off your summer body on one of the many promenades.

(Yacht) harbours, beach pearls in all shades, promenades with chic the (audible) small road network around the villa creates ideal connections to change perspective depending on your mood. Porto Cristo with its picturesque old town is a good place to go for excellent fish restaurants or a (romantic) evening stroll; those who have bravely faced the dragon of the Coves del Drac in the depths are definitely stronger than ever. In the south, in S'Estany d'en Mas, we highly recommend a visit to the white sandy beach of Cala Romàntica, where daily glass-bottom boat tours are offered. The 90 metre long Cala Varques in fresh Caribbean blue is a special paradise outside the main season. However, it must be conquered on foot or by boat. In comparison, travelling to Cala d'Or, where Mallorca is a bit like Ibiza, is very easy. Bathing and shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity: From our modern new-build villa it is only a few steps to the beach and the nearest supermarket, just 2 km to the harbour of Porto Cristo and the beach promenade with restaurants with fantastic sea views . Manacor, the third largest town in Mallorca, is also within easy reach and offers a pedestrianised town centre with cafés and fashion boutiques as well as museums, buses and trains for a relaxed trip to Palma. S'Illot, Sa Coma and Cala Millor along the coast guarantee a variety of beaches and great places for water sports.
