Villa Lavanda Stonehouse Hvar

Villa Lavanda is a Mediterranean stone house lovingly renovated with all the comforts of a modern home. The idyllic small town of Vrboska is a small picturesque village called little Venice. It lies on the coast of the island of Hvar in the marvellous island world of Dalmatia. Vrboska is connected by picturesque stone bridges. In addition to the beautiful location, the spacious villa has many amenities garden, lounge, barbecue, internet and large kitchen.
The accommodation
Our cosy holiday home offers you comfortable and lovingly furnished rooms that invite you to relax and feel at home. Each of the 3 bedrooms is individually designed and has comfortable beds, ample storage space and large windows that create a bright and friendly atmosphere. Each window has shutters and window blinds and curtains to create a cosy atmosphere.

The fully equipped kitchen and the inviting living area offer plenty of space for socialising. In the garden area there is a dining table, a lounge and a barbecue as well as sun loungers. Modern bathrooms with shower provide additional comfort. The open-plan living area has several sofas, armchairs and a large dining table.

What awaits you in Vrboska on the beautiful island of Hvar?
Vrboska is an idyllic place that is often affectionately referred to as "Mala Venecija" or "Little Venice". Vrboska owes this name to its numerous small bridges that cross the fjord-like inlet and connect the neighbourhoods of Pjaca and Podva. Houses with typical Dalmatian architecture line the waterfront promenade, while a small palm island in the bay offers a popular photo opportunity.

What is there to see in Vrboska?
An important landmark of Vrboska is the fortress church of St Mary of Mercy (Sv. Marije od Milosrda). This impressive church was extended and fortified in the 16th century after an attack by the Turks and is considered unique in the entire Adriatic region. Its tower offers a marvellous view over the town. Not far away is the parish church of St. Lovre, which boasts one of the richest art collections in Dalmatia. Works by Renaissance and Baroque painters such as Jacopo de Ponte Bassano and Giuseppe Alabardia can be admired here.

How to spend your time in Vrboska:
Vrboska offers numerous leisure options, especially for beach lovers. The Soline stretch of coast is ideal for families and offers an aqua park as well as water sports such as kayaking and windsurfing. Maslinica beach, surrounded by pine trees, offers crystal-clear water and idyllic spots to relax. But there is also something for outdoor fans: Cyclists have a choice of different routes on which to explore the beauty of the island of Hvar. There is also a lovely walk from Vrboska to the tranquil harbour town of Jelsa, which leads past several bays.

In the evening, visitors have the opportunity to try out one of Vrboska's restaurants or konobas. They offer local specialities, especially fish dishes and island wines such as Plavac and Bogdanusa.
