Our winery, a historic estate from the 18th century, is located on the edge of the historic centre of Birkweiler on a side street with no through traffic. The Palatinate is the second largest wine-growing region in Germany. Here, on the Wine Route, the vine-covered foothills merge into the Palatinate Forest, the largest closed forest area in Germany.
Hikes into the forest and vineyards can start right on the doorstep. A number of hiking trails lead past Birkweiler: German Wine Route hiking trail, Palatinate Almond Trail, Palatinate Wine Trail. The German Wine Route cycle path is right in front of our house. Many other cycle paths open up the region.

The Daschberg holiday flat, newly furnished in 2024, is located above the large entrance gate of the winery. Through the courtyard gate you enter the inner courtyard, and via the covered outside staircase to the separate entrance door of the flat on the 1st floor. Via the 3m² anteroom with wardrobe, which belongs exclusively to the flat, you enter the 21m² living room and bedroom.
This is equipped with a double bed (2 mattresses 90cm x 200 cm, duvets 155cm x 220cm, pillows 80cm x 80cm) two bedside tables, wardrobe, TV, two armchairs, dining table with four chairs and a small kitchenette (ceramic hob, extractor bonnet, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, sink, kettle, coffee filter, toaster, pots, crockery and glasses). Two windows offer a view of the inner courtyard. Two windows opposite offer a marvellous panorama over the roofs of Birkweiler to the vineyards of the Daschberg and Kastanienbusch and the local mountain of Birkweiler, the Hohenberg.
The windows are fitted with blackout curtains and translucent blinds. The 3m² bathroom with outside window, equipped with shower, WC and hairdryer, is accessed via its own anteroom.
Towels and bed linen are of course part of the basic equipment. There is a free car park in front of the winery. Bicycles can be parked in the courtyard.
Seating is available in the courtyard and in the garden. A small Edeka supermarket with bakery and coffee is located next to the railway station, about 800 metres away.

Conditions:
The price per night and flat for two people is €75 for bookings of at least three nights. From five nights the price is €69 per night.
Two-night stays are only possible on request and subject to availability. The price is then €83 per night. Included are bed linen, towels, heating, electricity, water, use of TV, internet, car parking space, tourist tax and final cleaning.
