Location: Our holiday home is located in the small holiday village of Mauth approx. 12 km from Freyung. Mauth (click here for more information) is a state-approved holiday resort in the heart of the Bavarian Forest.
Only a few minutes away by car you have numerous possibilities for your leisure activities. These include the national park with its animal enclosure and treetop walk, the Finsterau open-air museum, numerous hiking trails and, in winter, the cross-country skiing centre in Mauth (approx. 3 minutes away by car) with numerous cross-country ski trails (Dreikönigsloipe). Skiing facilities in Mitterfirmiansreut are also only approx. 10 minutes away by car.
In the immediate vicinity you can reach the very beautiful and idyllic bathing lake in Mauth on foot in approx. 8-10 minutes.
The things for your daily needs are within walking distance. There is an EDEKA with bakery, a local butcher's shop, savings bank, pharmacy, doctors, petrol station and much more. Directly opposite there is a restaurant with regional and very good cuisine. You can also have breakfast there on request.
From the 30m² roof terrace, you can enjoy a wonderful view over parts of the village as far as the forest. The terrace invites you to linger, have a snack, barbecue, sunbathe and much more.
The larger towns such as Freyung and Grafenau can be reached in just 10 - 20 minutes by car. The beautiful three-river city of Passau on the Danube is also only about 30 - 35 minutes away by car. The route to the Czech Republic, e.g. to the medieval town of Krumau (UNESCO World Heritage Site) is only about 75-80 minutes away by car.
With the guest card that you receive from us, you can use both the buses and the forest railway free of charge.
The bus lines 603 (Iglbus) and 403 stop in the immediate vicinity of the holiday home (at the pharmacy)

Facilities: Our holiday home is approx. 140 m² in size and is suitable for 1-7 people. The main living area is on the 1st floor (approx. 108 m²) for a total of 5 people. On the ground floor there is another living area (approx. 32 m²) for 2x persons with bedroom, living room and shower room.
There are 3 x bedrooms with a double bed 2.00/1.80 x 2.00 m and a small room with a single bed 0.90 x 2.00 m. The holiday home has a ground floor with a bedroom, a small living area and a shower room with WC. Upstairs are the three other bedrooms, a kitchen with built-in furniture, dishwasher, 4-ring ceramic hob, oven and fridge-freezer. Directly adjoining is the large living room with approx. 30 m², cosy seating area, satellite TV and dining area. Furthermore, there is another bathroom on the upper floor with a bathtub, also for showering, washbasin and WC.
Of course, we also provide a travel cot (for children up to 3 years) and a high chair free of charge.
The flat is suitable for 1-7 persons.
Your dog is also a welcome guest, even if there is no garden.

A fast internet connection with free WLAN (50 MB) is of course available!

The use of the roof terrace with seating area under the parasol and electric barbecue with accessories invite you to relax.
From the house you can immediately enjoy the marvellous nature with its fauna, the animals and the wonderful views into the distance on the numerous hiking trails.
