House in Portbail with Large Garden

This charming stone house awaits its guests in the small traditional town of Portbail-sur-Mer with its shops, restaurants and harbour.
It faces south-east and has its own garden (about 500 m2 around the house). It also shares a large garden of approximately 1000 m2 planted with apple trees with a small wooden house located at the bottom of the garden (also rented).
The location on the west coast of Cotentin makes it an ideal starting point for visiting the region:
The Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, Sainte-Mère-Eglise and Utah Beach, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and the island of Tatihou, Cap de la Hague and its breathtaking landscapes, the Parc des Marais du Cotentin and Bessin and many other treasures of the department.

The house was completely renovated in 2009 and can accommodate up to two people in its 110 m² spread over two levels.The living room consists of a comfortable sitting corner (television, bluetooth speaker), a dining space and an open kitchen equipped with modern and complete equipment.
There is also on the ground floor one of the two bedrooms with two single beds of 90cmx200cm (which can combine into a large bed of 180x200cm) and a private shower room with toilets. The 40 m² master bedroom with beautiful exposed beams, a double bed (140x180cm) and a desk is located upstairs and also has a private shower room with toilets. When you book, you can choose to sleep on the ground floor (and choose the large 180x200 bed or 2 separate beds) or upstairs.
In front of the house you will find a table and chairs where you can relax and admire the view of the garden.In the storage room adjoining the house, a barbecue is available to guests as well as deckchairs.You will also find a dryer.Bikes are for rent from a professional in the city.

Wireless Internet access is available. The house is classified by the tourist board with 3 stars.

The city center is easily accessible on foot (approximately 500 m) with all the essential shops. The sea comes to the edge of the city center at high tide and the beach of Portbail is only two kilometers away (a beautiful landscaped coastal path allows you to go there on foot or by bike). From Carteret's harbour about 7 km away, ferries run in summer to the islands of Guernsey and Jersey.

    Wir verlebten wunderschöne erholsame Tage in der Normandie.
    Das Haus ist ein Traum ,liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, gut und komplett ausgestattet wir haben uns sofort heimisch gefühlt. Danke für die liebevolle Begrüßung von Anita und von Valeri . Wir genossen Wanderungen an den tollen Stränden und in den dünenlandschaften. Erholung und Ruhe gab es dann abends in dem wunderschönen Garten . Wir haben alles sehr genossen und wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen .

    “Das Ferienhaus ist ausgesprochen empfehlenswert, und ich würde es jederzeit nochmals mieten. Positiv: Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und dennoch zentral fußläufig zum Ort sowie zum Strand. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll und praktisch eingerichtet, sodass man sich sofort wohlfühlt.
    Sowohl die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin als auch der Empfang waren sehr unkompliziert und ausgesprochen herzlich. Negativ: Es gibt nichts, was mir weniger gefallen hätte! Restaurant: Les Treize Arches - Gemütliches Restaurant am Wasser mit exzellenter Auswahl vorwiegend regionaler Speisen Ausflüge: Barneville-Carteret - lange Strände mit Promenade, hübsche Läden und tolle Aussicht vom Cap Carteret”
