There are around 60 mountain lakes in Salzburg's Lungau, such as the Prebersee or the Schlierersee, the Lungau/Katschberg golf club is very close to the town center and for swimming fun you can go to the St. Margarethen swimming pond and the outdoor pools in St. Michael, Mauterndorf, Mariapfarr or Tamsweg.St. Margarethen in Lungau is about 30 minutes by car from Lake Millstatt and 45 minutes by car from Lake Weissensee. The Aineck-Katschberg ski area offers 70 kilometers of slopes and 16 lifts. In total, with the neighboring Grosseck - Speiereck ski areas, the Fanningberg family adventure mountain and the Obertauern ski area, there are a further 250 kilometers of slopes available in the entire area.St. Margarethen in Lungau is the valley town of the top ski region of Katschberg. The apartment is 100 m from the ski lift (Katschberg ski area) and 600 m from the center of Sankt Margarethen im Lungau with numerous shops and restaurants.
