Large, individual holiday house with a sauna and a seasonal pool, a garden and an oriental gallery

This is a 230m² holiday house for individualists, for up to 17 people, in a quiet location right by a babbling little river, the “Kleine Lonau”, in Mariental.

The professional kitchen of around 40m² has a fireplace under-floor heating and a bar and has a seven-metre-high glass roof with a gallery, a breakfast terrace and a laundry room. The interior décor is individual. There are seven bedrooms in total, a TV chill room with lots of DVDs and CDs and games, a professional table football, an oriental seating gallery with shisha pipes and a cosy kitchen-diner, providing ample space on your holiday.

It has three residential levels and the rooms follow décor mottos such as Moroccan conservatory, French Provence, Hungarian farmer’s lounge, Alsace vintage, Villa Kunterbunt children’s tract, or the Rosenheim family room and the Romeo and Juliet single rooms. The interior décor is individual. There are seven bedrooms in total, a TV chill room with lots of DVDs and CDs and games, a professional table football, an oriental seating gallery with shisha pipes and a cosy kitchen-diner with a sofa bed, providing ample space on your holiday.

It is about three kilometres to various shops, as well as a lake for swimming, and you can visit Herzberg Castle. You can walk to a mini golf course, two restaurants, a campsite, a forest swimming pool, a wood grouse sanctuary, Hanskühneburg viewing tower, a campfire area. Lonau is 400 metres above sea level in the Oberharz National Park. From spring to autumn it is a hiking paradise and in winter there are cross-country skiing trails nearby not far from the winter sports resort of Sankt Andreasberg. The little alleys only allow you to drive up to the house for unloading and loading, and then you have to park your car on the general tourist car park of the little mountain village, out of sight in these idyllic surroundings, which are also a paradise for dogs.

The sauna house with an outdoor area and fitness room stands on its own 40m² site and is for your exclusive use upon booking and receiving the key. There is a garden with a seasonal swimming pool. Important note on the use of the sauna: the sauna house is available for temporary exclusive use 2-4 hours per day. After 4 hours, the sauna stove must be allowed to cool down. Guests at the neighbouring holiday house may also use the sauna house 2-4 hours per day. It is prohibited to heat the sauna stove all day without a break, as the stove could become defective. It is not a hotel sauna stove but only intended for private temporary use. The shared use of the sauna house with guests at the neighbouring house should be agreed by the guests themselves in a friendly and tolerant manner. Nobody would want to spend more than 4 hours in the sauna, which would also be unhealthy. Thanking you in advance. Please note the minimum length of stay. Christmas, New Year's Eve and summer high season (July-August) can only be booked on a weekly basis. Easter, Pentecost, Ascension and semester certificate holidays min. Bookable 4 nights! Otherwise, the house can be booked for a minimum of 2 nights outside of these public holidays. If there is a large group (ca. 25 people), both adjacent holiday houses (see atraveo no. 795549) can be booked together, if available. Additional bookings possible.     “Wie der Vorgänger hatten wir ab 24.08.18 auch kein warmes Wasser. Das Problem konnte auch nicht behoben werden.
    Also Tür raus Nachbarhaus rein, duschen.
    Dies war wohl möglich, da die Eigentümer da waren.
    War aber trotzdem unangenehm für uns 9 Personen.
    Zustand des Hauses: Ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
    Es sollte dringend investiert werden (Bäder und auch komplette Einrichtung).
    Küche ist voll eingerichtet.”

    “Das Wasserproblem habe ich in einer ausführlichen email erklärt und der Hausschlüssel des unmittelbaren Nebenhaus (Haustürabstand ca. 1m und das im Hochsommer) mit 3 Bäden wurde gleich übergeben. Das Haus „Villa Holiday“ wurde erst 2013 voll aus- und umgebaut und die Einrichtung mit Liebe auserwählt und ein individuellen Stil gegeben. In die Jahre gekommen verstehe ich leider nicht.
    Das Bad im EG ist ein Luxus Bad mit sehr hochwertigen weißen Schleiflack Möbeln, Hänge-Bidet u. Hänge-Wc mit verlangsamten Schließmechanismus des WC Deckeln und eine sehr große 2 Personen Designer-Collani Badewanne, das Duschbad im 1. Stock ist bunt und mit farbigen Fliesen bestück und hat für Mama großes Waschbecken in knallgelb und Kind ein niedrigeres kleines blaues Waschbacken mit roten Hahn(alles sehr neu), das WC im DG ist in lindgrün gehalten......aber dieses wunderhübsche Haus muss nicht jedem gefallen, deshalb sind ja die vielen Fotos auf der Seite ersichtlich, damit man weiß was man bucht und ob es seinem Geschmack entspricht oder nicht. Gut erhaltene Möbelstücke aus anderen Jahrzehnten oder Jahrhunderten sollten ihre Existenz-Berechtigung behalten dürfen sofern diese ins GASAMT-Konzept passen und geschmacklich abgestimmt sind. (Ikea kommt uns nicht ins Haus und wird so auch nicht von uns finanziell unterstützt wegen erbarmungslose Waldabholzung des Regenwaldes)”

    “Ingen varm vand halvdelen af tiden, et af badeværelser kunne ikke benyttes da det var utæt. Taget var utæt, og poolen var møgbeskidt.     “Ausstattung: sehr gut. Einrichtung / Gestaltung: sehr individuell, gemütlich, liebenswert. Sauberkeit: gut (unter den Betten... naja). Lage im Ort: sehr gut. Deckenhöhe teilweise nur 1,85 und sehr niedrige Durchgänge. Parken im Ortszentrum ca. 300 m vom Haus entfernt. Teilweise sehr kleine Räume.”

    “Enge Zufahrt. Keine Parkmöglichkeit am Haus. Schlafzimmer und Duschen waren für 12 Erwachsene zu wenig, da die zweite Dusche im Erdgeschoss nicht funktionsfähig war. Küche und Wohnräume, sowie der Außenbereich sind gut ausgestattet und gemütlich.”

    “Alle möglichen Fehler wurden längst repariert, einspurige Zufahrt steht bereits in der Beschreibung und ist in kleinen Bergdörfern zu erwarten und der Bürgermeister des Ortes freut sich, den Gästen des Ortes einen angemessenen Touristenparkplatz gebaut zu haben. 15 Schlafmöglichkeiten in 7 Schlafzimmern plus 2 Personen-Schlafcouch sollten für 12 Personen lange ausreichen und aus der Beschreibung ist zu ersehen. Die elektronische teuere Duschvorrichtung im Erdgeschoss war zum Reisezeitpunkt gerade von den Gästen davor kaputtgemacht worden, aber die 2 Personenbadewanne war dort im gleichen schönen Bad voll funktionstüchtig und man konnte sich dort auch abbrausen.”
