This traditional and spacious detached holiday cottage, with beams and a huge fireplace, is situated in almost 2 hectares of grounds. Set in a stunning location, with breath taking views across the valley and surrounding countryside, in one of the most sought after areas of the Dordogne. The cottage has its own private terrace, large garden and barbecue area from which to enjoy the view and take patrt in a spot of al fresco dining. There is an above ground plunge pool (depth 1.22m) for you to cool off in during those hot summer days. The château of Hautefort, the Château du Losse, the medieval, riverside market town of Montignac, Les Eyzies and Lascaux, famous for their pre-historic caves, and the medieval market town of Sarlat are all within a short drive. Other places to visit include the gardens at Eyrignac or Terrasson, a historic town of the banks of the River Vezere. The little town of Thenon has a supermarket, Tuesday farmer's market, restaurants, fishing and a leisure lake. Nearest Shop 3.5km, café/bar and restaurant 2km.

    “Außenanlage gepflegt, kann man gut sein, wenn es warm ist. Haus ist durchschnittlich ausgestattet und hat ständige Mitbewohner: In der Decke zwischen EG und DG leben Mäuse, die man jede Nacht raufen hört (und manchmal fällt auch eine durch die löchrige Decke). Keine Zentralheizung, ist nicht warm zu bekommen, wenns draußen kalt ist.” “Außenanlage gepflegt, kann man gut sein, wenn es warm ist.     “Im Ferienhaus L'Hermite haben wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die freundliche Atmosphäre des Hauses, die schöne und persönliche Einrichtung und die fantastische Lage haben gleichermaßen dazu beigetragen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, die Betten bezogen, Handtücher und Tischwäsche lagen bereit. Ein Willkommensgruß stand auf dem Tisch. Alles war sauber. In der Küche fehlte nichts. In den Betten haben wir sehr gut geschlafen. Der Außenbereich ist sehr schön und ein kleiner Pool lädt zum Erfrischen ein. Die Lage ist schöner als auf den Fotos, schöne Aussichten und Stille. In der Nacht konnten wir den Nachtigallen lauschen. Das Ferienhaus liegt absolut ruhig und etwa 4 km von Thenon entfernt, mit guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. In 2 km gibt es einen kleinen See mit einem netten Restaurant.”
