Casa Liana lies at 500m from the lovely village Castiglione Garfagnana, officially declared as one of the most beautifull villages of Italy. We are surrounded by 8 hectares of land with trails for hiking and biking. Lucca, Florence and the Versilia coast are good for daytrips, just as the Cinque Terre in Liguria which is stated as Unesco.Most locations are reachable by car, but also train from the station of Garfagnana Castelnuovo which is only 4km from the house. Of course these cities are great, but we actually advice you to spend most of your time in the Garfagnana area with it's caves of the wind, or Orechiella National Park, with nature as far as you can see, and animals like Deers and even bears!Go for excursions by foot or bike, it's really a great area. Also in summertime there are a lot of events organised in the region, which includes great food everywhere! Have a great holiday!
