House with a modern interior and a veranda

This modern house is in a valley in the little village of Furnas on the Azores island Sao Miguel.

The living room opens onto the terrace with a grill area, with terrace furniture. There are some fruit trees in the garden. There is free parking 50 metres from the house.

It is a little row house that was restored and modernised in 2006. It consists of two floors. The ground floor has a living room with an LCD TV, a dining table for six people and a fully-equipped kitchen unit with an oven, stove, microwave and espresso coffee machine. The big windows allow plenty of daylight into the living room. There is a small bathroom with a shower on the ground floor. The upper floor has a larger bathroom with a bath and bidet. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The bedrooms have a balcony with a beautiful view of the surroundings.

In the immediate vicinity there is a little stream and there are thermal springs (Poça da Beija). There are some hiking routes within easy access of the house. There are a restaurant and a grocery shop only about 100 metres from the house. The centre with further restaurants, an ATM and taxi stand is about a kilometre away. The nearest beach, Ribeira Quente, is ten kilometres away. There is a golf course a ten-minute drive away.

Note that there are some steps leading up to the house entrance. A travel cot can be provided on request. A supplementary bed is available.

    “Zwei Schlafzimmer, zwei Bäder/WC, Wohnküche, Garten mit Grill, Blick auf die Warmbäder, alles sehr gut. Wir jammern jetzt auf hihen Niveau aber was unserer Meinung nach verbessert werden kann ist: Ein Holzofenkamin der auch funktioniert, die Fliesen sind zu kühl, vielleicht Teppich oder Läufer, TV funktioniert so olala und das Besteck könnte etwas griffiger sein. ansonsten Topp.”

    “Zeer nette woning en heel vriendelijke en gastvrije ontvangst van de verhuurder..
    Enige minpuntje is het gebrek aan parkeergelegenheid vlakbij de woning. Door de drukte bij de naast het huisje gelegen thermale bad, poça da dona beija, altijd parkeerproblemen.”

    “Die Lage des Hauses ist optimal. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist neu und grundsätzlich sehr empfehlenswert. Der im Haus befindliche Kaminofen darf von den Gästen nicht benutzt werden; dies ist insbesondere in der Übergangszeit bedauerlich.
    Der vor dem Haus befindliche Parkplatz ist leider von morgens bis abends 11:00 Uhr von Badegästen des nebenan befindlichen Bades überbelegt.”
