Cosy Swedish wooden house in the midst of greenery, ideally situated for trips in the region, for those seeking leisure, as well as active holiday-makers
The holiday house stands amidst nature in the little village of Themar /OT Tachbach. The owner completely converted, renovated and furnished the original Swedish wooden house in 2012/2013 and it has been let out since June 2013. All the rooms are light, inviting and are on one level, practically barrier-free. The functionally furnished and charmingly decorated rooms provide pleasant comfort. The first big bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and a child’s bed can be added, and there is plenty of space in the cupboards. The second bedroom has two single beds with bedside tables and a wardrobe. The generous living and dining room provides a comfortable suite with a sofa bed, and the LCD flatscreen TV with over 30 HD channels provides entertainment in bad weather, along with a DVD and video player, a radio and CD player. The dining space provides plenty of space for six people. The kitchen is fully-equipped, including a fridge and freezer, an electric stove with a four-zone ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, serving trolley and a little counter for snacks. The bathroom is fitted with under-floor heating and a shower, WC and washbasin. A hairdryer is also available. If you arrive with a dog, then a big leather bed is available.
Relax on our new terrace with garden furniture, right by the house. The site is fully fenced. Note that smoking is prohibited in the house. The owner can provide a free wireless Internet connection on request.
If you would like to get to know the region on day trips, then this is an ideal starting point for trips in all directions. It is less than an hour’s drive to e.g. the Wartburg in Eisenach, the Veste Coburg, the Marine Aquarium in Zella-Mehlis, Oberhof and many other unusual places of interest. It is just 15km to the nearest motorway exits: A27 Meiningen Süd or A73 Schleusingen. If you enjoy sports, you can go fishing, cycling, canoeing, mountain biking, riding, swimming, skiing, geocaching, hiking, jogging and Nordic walking, to name just a few activities. If you are looking for peace and quiet and relaxation, then this is also the right place for you. Current information about the region and events is provided. The owner can arrange hikes and accompany you. From March to October there are some themed walks available, subject to the weather.
